So here it is. Finally, the long awaited EP entitled "Grim" is released!
This EP consist newer and older songs, for example the track number 2 is from 2011 and you can still hear that era's distinct sound. The rest are newer, but also previously unreleased. And they too have this old school dark and brutal Deathtime vibe to them - for example the title track is a blackened death metal song!
Maybe later there shall be a longer introduction, but for now, the EP is all yours for the taking.
Deathtime decided to release something special for this special time.

The Brutal Æsthetic Demo
So here it is, The Brutal Æsthetic Demo, released for The Brutal Æsthetic's 10 year anniversary. (Can't believe how time just flies, can you?)
Even this release is perhaps mostly for our die hard fans, it does contain some curiosities, such as primitive early versions, and also alternative versions. And the guitar sound is the same sound that Deathtime had when recording Obliteration (EP)!
NOTE: These demo versions were originally intended to be heard by the band and its associates, so this is definitely not intended for larger audiences (as if Deathtime ever was), because these songs are pretty rudimentary.

The spoken word intro is an quote from Lovecraft, to add some horrid depth. And it is not meant to be a neckbeard statement such as "it is not Christmas bruh, it is Yule!" In this case, they are both the same, and if you look for deeper meaning, it is about "the Eternal Christmas" - they (the ancients) only celebrated it, for its true meaning to be found and understood later on. Therefore, it is fated to survive humans. But in this case it is just to set the atmosphere.
Since now is Deathtime's 10-year anniversary, and it is Halloween after all, here's a little treat for you all: 10 songs and 10 years - our best of compilation.

A little update about our next album, "It Can Happen To You".
The first title for these sessions was The Exogenesis Sessions (it is our so called "default title").
Then it turned out to be called as "Iisakinkirkon rakentamissessiot" (engl. "Construction of the Saint Isaac's Cathedral sessions") which means to build something, that never seem to get finished.
And now the latest name is The Shadow work sessions.
As stated earlier, the cover for the album has been already released:

There are a few other songs, that are yet to be finished, such as Creepy Christmas, Ruminations of Abominations, Vengeage Will Be Mine etc. We shall see if any of them make it to the final press.

So, like it was said in the earlier post, something new was intended for this year, so let's see what is going on.
First of all, some new and older material has been produced, finished, reproduced etc. But instead of poor quality or quantity of the material, this time we have so much good stuff on our hands, that it has been quite a challenge to decide to what to do next, what to record and finish next and what to release and in what order so it's been rather difficult to get anything out.
But now it seems, that there are three songs, that are reaching the level of being released (either one of them via streaming or all of them in downloadable EP/single format), and the first, almost finished test forms are already been tested before finalized and released.

Where Eagles Dare (The Misfits cover)
1. This one is a "new" song, because it was one of the first ones being written and recorded (drums and guitars) for the new sessions. At first it was supposed to be only a demo version, because it was a strange "slow fast song", but then again it had enormous groove, so it was kept. Musically this song is closer to some classic stuff of ours, with a hint of something new and fresh.
2. There are couple of other name suggestions for this one, and it is quite possible that one of them will be chosen eventually. "99%" was first chosen, because of a movement of the same name and number, but because they became too biased and probably disappeared, the name is ought to be updated as well. Style wise this is a rather classical Deathtime song, with some sludge and thrah metal influences.
3. This one is a dropout from the Covered In Blood 2. It was not dropped because it was too bad, it was left out because of the tight schedule back then. And those who don't know this one, should listen to this:

Deathtime's annual update. Yes, yes, it's been awhile.
At first this was going to be a little "Halloween trick" with some special content, but since that didn't happen (it is on its way, and it will appear in a different form), let's just make this to be a little update, do we?
This year is coming to its end, not just yet, but soon enough.
Deathtime has been quiet since the year 2013 and many of you've been making questions such as "is this thing still active, is this band still going on?"
Yes it is!
Deahtime is going towards their third album actually.
But there have been plenty of changes.
Such as, a new studio. Which means, that there was a great pause when that transition happened, and now that everything seems to be settled, things have finally taken a step forward.
And what are those things?
Well, now a demo for the third Deathtime album, and for the third part of the Covered In Blood trilogy have been recorded!
But now, since this is the time when the Sun moves into Capricorn; it is also the beginning of a new season. Moments later is the Capricorn New Moon. This New Moon lies at 00 degrees for the fourth consecutive month in a row.
And you know what that means?
It is the time for a little up-to-date and the time to start to do some moving, after a sabbath year (for releases, yet some creative work has been done, more about that in a moment).
So, now almost 30 new demos have been recorded and the next thing to do, is to start to work with the new material.
Some songs will remain as demos, while others will be taken to the sessions of the next Deathtime album.
So that's the plan for 2015, stay tuned for some new and/or previously unreleased material!
